CORRECTION to Monday, Monday!
A pair of sharp eyes from Bristol points out that:
It’s not “4 score years and 20″!
That would make Keith an impressive but unlikely 100!
Rather…
“3 score years and 20″.
Maths never a strength chez moi!
Thank you, Deming!
I caught that, but couldn’t bring myself to correct Ross Poldark 🙂
I think you will find it is 3 score years and 10. or at least for a human that is.
Yes! Maths never my strong subject!
Why not just four score?
Well, the original quote is three score years and ten as the expected life span–seventy years.
Keith’s friend wryly changes this to three score years and twenty to match his eighty years.
Ha ha but 4 score just sounds better and I believe is the opening line of Abraham Lincoln’s deathless Gettysburg Address—but don’t quote me LOL!

Dear Bro,
Phew, glad that’s settled! I had noticed but decided to say nothing. I was so touched that you even mentioned my birthday and Boggioli and our oil. Thank you so much.
We’ll talk again very soon.
Much love, K

Pleasure, Keith. Trust you all had a lovely meal and the day went well.
Much love.
I noticed it too, but I’m no mathematacian either, so no fault to you, Robin. We love your stories, and your cats.Wishing you and yours a very happy New Year and many more to come.
The same to you, Suzanne. Thank you.
Hi Robin What’s twenty years among friends I still had a job working out three score years and twenty But that’s because I am now three score years and ten It feels like youth is slipping away Don’t like it Dtoll better than the alternative A belated happy new year to you and Meredith And the assorted moggies
Very same to you, Brenda–thanks.
Don’t worry, Robin! I’m ok with basic adding up columns of figures, but no organisation would ever want to put me in position a Treasurer, not even our local AmDram society! They’d be bankrupt within six months! Maths isn’t everybody’s strong point and it certainly doesn’t feature much in our family!
Bon Anniversaire!
Many Happy Returns Robin.
Thank you for sharing your stories, your recipes and your vie joyeuse!

Thank you, Lana.
