There can only be one thing Beau and Ben are thinking about today:
The semi-finals of the World Cup.
Today France (v Belgium) and tomorrow England (v Croatia).
No way of knowing who supports who, but clearly it’s something that gives pause for thought.
For now they are sitting on the wall/fence.
Meredith and I have a foot in both camps of course.
They could face each other next Sunday in the final–what a dilemma that would be for us would-be “duals”!
Though one might say it’s a win-win situation.
Either way, it’s pretty thrilling.
Allez les Bleus! Allez les Rouges!
The cats always make good choices. And that’s a good photo s of your “kid’s.
That will be a very interesting match for you both. Enjoy!
Oh, good grief! I saw the subject of the email and then a picture of your cat and my heart sank….afraid you guys were faced with making that difficult decision of whether to help your feline friend to go over the Rainbow Bridge! (That makes your soccer decision just a little easier, doesn’t it?) 🙂
Thankfully not the case.
It’s a win, win situation.
I wish to come back as one of your cats in another lifetime.
Shelby Brammer (Tim Choate’s friend)
Hi Shelby.
They get fed oft–too often!
It’s coming home ⚽️
I remember being in France at a big community BIG do in some little town near Cahor where they were celebrating everything to do with the pig I believe. And there was also a big game between England and France. And so of course they had the screen up and everyone was watching and eating and then England won and then they went back to dancing with no problem. So interesting. Here in the US fights would have started.

I love both but I pick Beau.
Oh!Robin and Meredith! After reading the title –then seeing your precious fur babies–fearing for the worst,I had my heart in my throat.
Particularly as we had to face this very thing with our beloved little angel Rose Alis only days ago.
So happy all is well and let the games begin!
Hi Robin and Meredith,
Just opened your post on Facebook and guess what we are doing????
Watching the World Cup of course!!! Seeing as my family is of French heritage
I lean toward France. Ray, on the other hand, is rooting for England.
When it comes to baseball we are both
fans of theNew York Yankees.
May the best team win !!!
They did!
Whew–For a moment I thought something bad, too! Glad it was only soccer and not the cats. Oops, sorry, I didn’t mean “ONLY” soccer! We’ve been awaiting the outcome, too!! Allez les DEUX?? 😉
Good results last night. Maybe it was their paws for thought? 😊
What a beautiful place Beau and Ben have to live. Happy Cats
And now the choice has been made for you. For the Cup, Allez les Bleus! But on Saturday, Allez les Rouges!
Hi Robin I wrote to you some time ago, about being a late comer to Poldark and you kindly replied, please could you help me on a couple of points again?
I’ve read all the books and if memeory serves me there are 13 including Bella, but I keep reading there were only 12.
And I thought Elizabeth died from gangrene following the birth of Valentine, but nobody has mentioned that, worried of Eastbourne! Best wishes Jayne
!2 books and you may be right about Elizabeth.
