Hi Robin Will you be doing a book signing in the UK …. in Yorkshire … ?
Best wishes Linda
We were in Sheffield and Doncaster in June.
Oh golly—dear Robin, I used to live in San Francisco so Palo Alto is only a hopskipandajump from there, but am now exiled to Longmont, CO. Would love to meet you, say hello, get your book [signed of course]. Best wishes on your tour and your book is wonderful as are all the recipes you have shared with us. I know you are going to have a blast here in the Colonies!

Next year, Marion with any luck.
Just sent an RSVP to Holly Brady at Books, Inc to attend reception and book launch on Thursday September 15, 2016 in Palo Alto, California. Looking forward to meeting you and Meredith.

👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Wishing you & Meredith a safe journey coming to “The New World”
Arggghhh! Timing is everything…….when you are in Arlington (two hours away from us) we will be in England (visiting our son and his wife). Here’s hoping you have an enjoyable time here.
Thanks, Mary–enjoy your visit.
Hi Robin
This book tour of yours brought back some old memories! I was wandering around Covent Garden with my friend in the 1980’s when I saw a poster on a lamp post saying you were signing books nearby. I was a real Poldark fan having read all the books before the TV series was shown, so my friend made me go into the bookshop. You were there all alone so we had a little chat. You asked where I lived, and I said “You won’t know it, it’s a small village called Street in Somerset” and you told me that you used to drive through there on your way to Cornwall before the M5 was built. I probably told you that you would have passed my parents’ grocery shop in the High Street! I still have the book you signed for me and I’ve now got all the Poldark novels on my Kindle as my 12 paperbacks are all stored in the roof and don’t look or smell too good! I’ve really enjoyed the new version of Poldark and can’t wait for series 2 to begin.
Best wishes Brenda Woodburn.

Thanks for this comment, Eileen.
I am planning to see you at the book signing in both New York City and Arlington, Virginia!!!!
I have been a fan of yours since watching you in Poldark in the 1970’s!!!!
Look forward to meeting you, Irene.
I have sent my RSVP for the book signing at Books, Inc in Palo Alto. I took Meredith’s tip and acquired your new book ahead of the US publication from The Book Depository and have been enjoying it ever since. It is missing something, though, and that is your signature! I can hardly wait to attend this event! Also, our mutual friend, Francesco from Sardinia, founder of the Poldark Fan Page, has asked me to send him a postcard of Palo Alto signed by both you and Meredith on this evening, so I am looking forward to doing that for him. See you then.
See you then, Anne.
Dear Robin,
Yes! Our paths will definitely cross this time. I will fly to Dulles come to Arlington Central Library to say hello to you and Meredith. It has been 4 years!
Hedvika
See you there, Hedvika!
Good luck with your book tour !!👍
I see spontaneously combusting in Phoenix is not on your agenda. Needless to say, I would love to spend one or two cold, wet, rainy and windy days (or nights) working on the cornish coast right now. Have a wonderful time, enjoy each location and make time to see something new while you are there.
‘Oh to be in the States now that Robin’s there______’!!
I can’t believe I missed your visit to Sheffield and Doncaster- much nearer to Notiingham than New York .
Good luck with the tour- perhaps Nottingham in the future??!!
With best wishes,
Fran Shaw
I’ve asked a friend in NYC to attend and buy me a copy!
Nancy, Santa Fe, NM
Well we missed you galloping around Cornwall as we took in the sights a while back and now plan to see you near our ‘ home ‘ here across the pond. Looking forward to coming in from Long Island to have a pint at St Andrews ( looks a nice pub) and have you sign your new cookbook. Have a great trip here!
Rich and Mary
Hi Rich and Mary–set ’em up! See you there.
Looking forward to our saying hello again in the Big Apple! And we’ll be watching you on the telly Sun night at 9pm, WGBH (Boston area). Watch for us waving! 😉
Cheers & hugs,
Gene & Dianne
See you there, Dianne!
Wishing you great success and an enjoyable time along the way! Dorinda & Robin
Thanks, Dorinda.
I unfortunately won’t be able to see you in person on your book tour, but greatly enjoyed seeing you as host/narrator of “Inside Poldark” on PBS last night. What a treat! Neat to see Andrew Graham as well. Hope you and Meredith have a wonderful trip to the States.
Marti
Thanks, Marti.
Never would have thought in 1976 (when POLDARK first hit PBS) that 40 years later you would be doing a book signing nearby! Definitely looking forward to seeing you in person in LA on the 11th! I hope the tour goes very well.
Thanks Martha–see you there!
I hope that you have a wonderful book tour in the U.S,! I would love to come to the book signing in Virginia, but my husband is having surgery this Friday and I don’t think he will be recovered from surgery well enough for me to go out of town. I will be with you there in spirit. I have ordered your new book and I look forward to trying your recipes.
I saw the program “Inside Poldark” Sunday night. It was great to see you as host of the program. It was a wonderful program! Even though I like the new Poldark series, there is only one Poldark and Demelza for me and that is from the original series. I often watch my DVD’s of the original series.
Bonne chance aux Etats-Unis!
Debra Ashe
(North Carolina)
Thank you, Debra, for your kind words. I trust your husband’s surgery goes to plan and he makes a good recovery.
I hope you enjoy the book.
I am a big fan of both Poldark and your amazing cookbook.I am so happy to share it with my readers on my site No-Nonsense beauty Blog. You can read the review here at http://nononsensebeautyblog.com/2016/08/29/fashion-flash-monday-108/. As a New Yorker with Type 2 Diabetes I look forward to have you sign my copy of Mediterranean Cooking for Diabetics on Sept 4. Will there be books available for sale at the pub?
Deborah, thank you for such a wonderful review!
Heartening for me to read.
I look forward to meeting you on Sunday and yes books will be on sale.
Well……I started to watch PBS tonight and there was your voice. I just knew it was yours! So glad to hear your voice and see you narrate an overview of Poldark.
Nice warm rich memories of the original.
It has taken me a while to accept the new series. I was looking for the faces of old familiar friends……they did not appear. That is how memorable it was and has been for many of us.
I found myself being engaged with the new series. The story remains the story.
Thinking about it one night I realized that there is a Poldark for all seasons….even decades apart.
Thank you Robin for wonderful memories and for engaging so many of us again decades later.
Thanks, Lorry, for your very kind words, which are much appreciated.
Of course. Our dates are on the web site and my Facebook page.
Oh golly, sorry to have missed the pint event! Wanted to get a copy of the new book in time for you to autograph it for my daughter who loves to cook — and whose name is Demelza! (Yes, we’re kind of Poldark obsessed in my house.) but the planets didn’t oblige this time. Have a wonderful tour of the US, and I hope the weather obliges and many warm friends are met and renewed.
All the best,
Nancy N
Thanks, Nancy.
Hello!
Just a note to tell you it was a pleasure as with other New Yorkers to meet with you and have our books signed at the St. Andrews pub. Not sure when you all left the pub but we thought an hour wasn’t enough considering the crowd that piled up to have a few minutes to chat!
Continue to enjoy your trip here in the States! And we look forward to trying some new healthy recipes. Merci!
Mary and Rich
Thanks for coming on Sunday. The atmosphere was so friendly and everyone was very patient. We were there about two hours and left sixish.
By benefit of location I was able to attend your enjoyable book signing last night in Los Angeles. The photos are gorgeous (kudos to Meredith) & am anxious to try some of the recipes. Enjoyed “Inside Poldark” & am anxiously awaiting season two!
So happy you enjoyed it–we did too, Fran.
Made your Tuna and White Bean Salad last night. It was just as promised – delicious and easy! Enjoyed it while paging through your book. Felt like I was dining in France – gorgeous! (Photos are almost worth the price of the book alone!)
