Daffodils are everywhere. Mint is peeking out anew.
Garlic shoots are showing strongly in the field opposite.
Blue skies up above and corn feed at the ready…
Spring fever we were thinking until waking up to…
…Winter’s last hurrah!
Not long to wait though.
Nature!–what a tease!
Lovely pictures, I never saw garlic growing like that. v/de
We have the tweets of robins here in Baltimore. Spring is almost here.
I have never seen where or how garlic grown. An education for me.
We are back to Winter in the UK too although it has been lovely to see blue skies and sunshine rather than grey, wet cold!
It’s the other way around here in Australia. It’s mid-March – first month of autumn. We’ve just had a last hurrah for summer with the first major heatwave since 2008 and I haven’t seen even a glimpse of autumn colour anywhere. 😦
Yes Robin up here in North West it’s been beautiful these pass few days, sunny clear sky’s but a biting cold wind, but the crocus’s have started to came out and I saw some primrose’s on my walk today.Even with a covering of snow your garden and the fields look lovely,Hope you are keeping warm, and maybe spring is not that far way.
Dear Robin & Meredith,Nice pictures.
We had for 4 days recently heavy snow here in Antwerp. Now it’s going at last.Puske puske is getting better, she takes now 12 tubes forced feeding and 2 pills a day (one for her heart and one penicilinne for her lungs) she still not eat on her own, but shes getting very strong, so strong this morning she scratched William (my husband) heavy. In a few hours day begins again 4 tubes, pills and I hope that Puske puske is in a good mood to him.Hughs, Chantal xxx.
Quite right, Kerry Letheby, we here in South Australia had an unusual long dry and hot spell of 11 days above 30 degrees… while the East Coast of this land was experiencing torrential rain, heavy flooding and homeless people… Such an unpredictable weather.
Now I see Meredith’s photo of a daffodil flowering bravely in the snow… Will wonders never cease?
Same here in the Midlands Robin.
In Wisconsin the sun is shining, clear and bright, while snow is falling lightly, just enough to remind us that “Man proposes but God disposes!”
It is early March in Hell Michigan USA … last year it was 92 degrees and tornado’s struck the nearby town of Dexter doing 1m in damage and ruining the spring fruit tree crop. This year the climate is normal and I look for a stable fruit tree crop from my orchard for cider and deer feed. i stand on the pruning ladder and carefully shape trees to my desire. The Sandhill Cranes have returned to the farm and are doing their spring mating dance. I have enticed them with corn to come near to the farm house. last year i had a yearling eating from my hand with the mother taking ownership of my grain bin in the barn. Her wings spread in defense as i enter for my daily chores. They are truly noble birds and although an avid hunter , i cannot imagine harvesting one. As the sun gains on the horizon i look forward to the awakening of our farm with the blessing of renewal only a northern spring can offer Mike K Hell Mi.
