New York, New York–it’s a wonderful town!
I’m doing two pop-up (i.e. they don’t know–you do!) book (or dvd) signings in Manhattan.
Sunday, Mar 4th, 3pm at the Starbucks inside the Barnes & Noble bookstore on Broadway at 82nd.
Come have coffee or tea, bring your book or DVD (or order it).
Anyone unable to make that, the following morning at 10am (Mon Mar 5th) I’ll be at Le Pain Quotidien on 2nd Ave between 49th & 50th.
wish I could be there! xx Nicki
So do we!
Howdy!
So glad you guys coming over the pond, and so hoping you’ll be able to visit Chicago as well 🙂
Would love to stop by and have you sign a book and talk ‘Poldark’ 🙂
Any chance of that and where?
Have a great trip regardless and hello to Meredith as well!

Hi Mel,
I’ll be doing a pop-up signing at the Starbucks inside Barnes & Noble bookstore in Evanston
on Sunday, Mar 11th at 3pm.
See you there!
(Bring your own book or order via them….)
I thought it was 11 am in Evanston, but I don’t care if it’s 3 pm or 3 am — I’ll be there.
I’m not much of appreciator of blogs, but for some reason I really have a fondness for this one, out here in the hinterland.
Welcome to America Robin & Meredith! I bet the New Yorkers are going crazy for you… (thank you for explaining a “pop up”)… See you next week in Washington, D.C.!
Wish I could be there as I’m in NY a lot (but not this weekend) and know very well the Starbucks you’re talking about. Have fun and hope you sign and sell a lot of books!
Welcome to the States, Robin! I am in Evansville, Indiana, on the Ohio River so you probably won’t come too close to me. But I hope you and Meredith have an enjoyable and successful tour.
Thanks, Elizabeth.
Robin – where and when will you be in DC? I have people asking me…

See the link below, Maureen.
Thanks Robin! Expect a crowd! 🙂
Any chance of ever coming to Canada Robin? Ottawa is a fantastic town – the traffic is less crazy than Montreal (all those one-way systems and terrible roads!) though, notwithstanding!, Montreal is amazing too! Have a great time in New York, all those eateries! I’m jealous!
Robin,
That’s just too cool! Book ordered & arriving in a nick of time for your pop-up!
This is so weird…Last month I was browsing you tube, and there popped POLDARK, and I haven’t seen it in ages (Yugoslavian TV had it in the 70’s and I just loved the show). So there I was on the net watching all 16 episodes back to back that weekend. I believe I appreciated it much more this time around.
I wondered what happened to the cast, and thanks to the age of the Internet, found out that some are sadly gone, but I was so happy to have stumbled upon your blog and now I may even get a chance to meet you…
Well, the wonders never cease, do they?
Here’s to your safe trip to our Windy City and see you in Evanston!
Mel
Robin, do you have any plans to have a book signing in LA? Would love it. We in CA would love to see you.
Hi Lynn! Yes, there is a book signing planned for Saturday, March 17th at Chevalier’s Books, 1-3pm (Larchmont). Hope to meet you there.
Robin, I will be at the LA signing. Cannot wait to meet you. I have been a huge fan of Poldark since it first aired! I have the book your wrote about it and will bring that, Will you sign it?
Well of course–but we are hoping the new version will be available by then.
I look forward to meeting you, Lynn.
No worries Robin, found the info I was looking for and forwarded on.
That must be Grand Central Station. I haven’t been there but I told my Mom when she was 72 that I didn’t think she should go by herself through Grand Central when she went back to New York for her 50th college reunion and she just laughed at me and said she new it like the back of her hand. She was born and raised in New York City. It looks pretty civilized in your photo.
Just a country girl.
Glad that you have have both arrived safely in U.S. Hope you get time to enjoy N.Y.
Robin & Meredith,
Can’t wait for Sunday in the Big Apple! See ya both there!
Cheers & hugs,
Dianne & Gene
Great to hear that you are in the USA! Have a great and successful visit my friend! Welcome!
Hello Robin,Have a great time overthere! Hughs, Chantal xxx.
I bribed my son to come with me to NYC on Sunday to meet you and Meredith at Barnes and Noble. It is a 3 hour bus ride to New York from Baltimore. We are doing it round trip that day. Hopefully, he won’t back out of the plan!!
That’s what I did last Saturday! Got a friend to drive with me , round trip (3 hours from Delaware) to see Robin’s brother, Jack, in Richard III at BAM! Didn’t get to actually meet him, though. 😦 Hope you and your son have a safe trip!
Love the picture of you in Grand Central Station. As a neighborhood -bound Manhattanite, traveling “all the way” to the Upper West Side will be unusual for me, but since you crossed the Pond to visit, I hope to see you on Sunday.
Welcome back to New York. I hope you have terrific fun, and book sales.
I’ll have a double macchiato and slice of Rocky Road although the rocky road is not very diabetic though delicious. Sorry I can’t be there hope you get lots of interest it’s a great book.
Have a wonderful time over there, I’m sure you will.
Hope you are both enjoying the trip, Robin. Is your new Making Poldark only going to be available in US? Perhaps when you have time you can let us know how it is going to be published ie. ebook or ‘proper’ book!
Don’t forget it is St Piran’s Day on Monday (Patron St. of Cornwall!) It is not necessary to sport a pasty…..
Do hope you get some time to relax on your ‘holiday’. Safe travels
Sophie-Jane good morning!
Making Poldark will be available as a “print-on-demand book from Amazon late March–anywhere.
