A picture’s worth a thousand words.
This is Meredith’s lovely montage.
She not only takes great photos but she puts them together beautifully to tell many stories on the way.
Shows more summer than winter–no harm in whetting the appetite though…!

Looking forward to the next cookbook. While I know everyone has difficulties and challenges, this looks so peaceful and serene. Thanks again.
Dear Robin,Fully agree with the saying …a picture says more then a thousend words for sure for me as a collector of filmstar postcards, but also the pen is mightier than the sword (lol) and you are a very good writer Robin!

To me these wonderful pictures of the country seen so many decades ago, the historical buildings, the smiling happy faces, the mouth watering dishes and… the pets are sheer bliss – une nostalgie puresang. I’ll cherish this video. You are an artist Meredith. Thank you! And may you both stay happy au pays de Languedoc for many years to come
Boy, I can’t wait to retire!!! π
Hi Robin,
I’ve been following you great site for sometime but in the background. Very enjoyable in all it’s aspects.
I love Meredith’s montage. It’s something I have thought of doing myself for some while to record our great times in our village in the Limousin.
So it has raised a question. Not being the greatest in modern technology, but a quick learner when pointed in the right direction, can you tell me what programme Meredith uses to make the montage.
If I can put together a website, albeit slowly, then I’d love to get started on another project.
Keep up the good work it brightens my day in the midst of grey days.
Hi Pip,
Meredith here. I’m using an Apple iMac (brand new, as the old one crashed recently), using iPhoto.
It’s a very simple process of choosing the photos, putting them in an album, arranging them in the order you wish
and selecting “slide show”. Then you have options for adding music and choosing the dissolves (I chose random!).
You may not be using an Apple, of course. I recommend googling your question. Now there are video tutorials online that explain what to do step by step.
Here’s an example which I used for my Mac: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-create-iphoto-slideshows-on-your-mac.html
Good luck!
Many thanks Meredith. I’m not using an Apple but if the principle is as easy as it sounds I will do some googling and give it a go.
If it turns out half as good as yours I’ll be chuffed.
